Regenerative Cannabis Live! Successfully Debuts Virtual Event and Announces Plans for Winter Onsite Event at the United Nations in NYC

July 29, 2021 Sustainability & ESG, Virtual & Hybrid Events

First event of its kind centered around sustainable development in the cannabis and hemp industry and aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and growing ESG strategies

Regenerative Cannabis Live! (RCL), a disruptive new series of events and conferences centered around the sustainable development of cannabis and hemp, debuted virtually last month with over 1,000 registrants who tuned in to hear from over 20-plus expert panelists over the two days. Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this multi-stakeholder event brought together global leaders to explore the Economic, Social & Environmental impacts facing the industry now and in the future.

“We are thrilled to bring this event to the industry and shed light on these very necessary topics. There is a tremendous opportunity to lead ESG and sustainability objectives through cannabis and hemp,” said Patrick McCartan, CEO, Regennabis. “This was evident by the tremendous industry support we had and stellar speakers who were willing to bring their authentic self.”

The virtual event kicked off with a keynote address from Colombian Presidential nominee, and current congressional leader, Senator Juan Manuel Galán who spoke candidly about his own experiences both personally and politically related to cannabis. Day one continued with intriguing panels around the ‘Legal Regulations of the Cannabis Industry,’ ‘Restorative Justice,’ and ‘Sustainable Packaging,’. Day two continued with a timely keynote address from Senator Alejandro Armenta of Mexico who spoke about the recent legal changes and rise of cannabis in his nation. Following his address were sessions centered around ‘ESG,’ ‘Diversity, Equity & Inclusion,’ and ‘Regenerative Agriculture.’

Guest speakers and panelists represented many of the leading organizations in the Cannabis Industry, including Curaleaf, Hoban Law Group, Last Prisoner Project, Prohibition Partners, Rubicon Organics and many more. Attendees could tune in at their leisure and lively chats from the panelists and attendees reinforced the passion for these conversations. Offered for free to registered attendees, the panels were also recorded and are now available to view on the Regennabis YouTube channel and visiting the RegenerativeCannabisLive playlist.

Marc Ferguson, the CEO of Verdentify, who attended the event himself said of it: “I think this is one of the most informative cannabis conferences when considering the quality of the panel members, the importance of the topic, and the passion and engagement of the audience.” Bob Hoban, a leading Attorney in the Cannabis Industry added that “Regennabis [through Regenerative Cannabis Live!] offers a quintessential, innovative platform to stakeholders across the cannabis industry community while aligning this emerging sector with the critically important UN Sustainable Development Goals.”

Held bi-annually, both virtually and onsite at various worldwide United Nations offices, Regenerative Cannabis Live! is slated to continue through 2030 as part of the “Decade in Action.” The first in-person conference is set to be held this winter at the UN building in NYC. Speaking opportunities and sponsorships are now available for that event.
